Primary end uses for our materials are applications such as sanding belts, sanding discs, and sanding wheels. The fabrics used are 100% cotton or polyester woven fabrics, depending on the abrasive application. Aurora can source the range of cloth backing standard weight fabrics used in the abrasive market, which vary in thickness, flexibility, construction, and strength. The range of fabrics are suitable for a range of grit sizes. Aurora treats the fabric to provide better grain retention on the backing, which can provide additional durability under demanding loads.
